Internal vs External Growth
There are two types of growth:
- Internal Growth: Growth that occurs within the mind; beliefs, paradigms, etc...
- External Growth: Growth that is tangible or visible; building a project, working somewhere, etc...
These past two months I haven't been too productive externally. However, I have experienced significant amounts of internal growth.
Internal Growth is underrated; it can't be quantified on a resume or advertised. It isn't necessarily helpful on a job hunt. Despite that, a strong internal foundation will lead to mass external growth.
Developing focus is a great example of internal growth. A strong sense of focus cultivates external growth, due to direction and purpose behind pursuits.
Build a strong internal foundation before pursuing external growth, it will make life easier in the long run.
